Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences for Women – University of Baghdad, the Career Development and Employment Unit, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Academic Guidance Unit, organized a training workshop titled (Developing the University Student’s Personality: Abilities and Capacities). The workshop was presented by the trainer and Head of Information Technology at the College, Ms. Riam Abdul Kareem Abdul.

The workshop aimed to strengthen university students’ personalities and enhance their intellectual, social, and psychological skills, enabling them to face the challenges of university life and to effectively prepare for entering the job market. It covered integrated themes including self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and the development of critical and creative thinking skills. The program also focused on reinforcing self-confidence, managing failure, achieving psychological balance, decision-making, assuming responsibility, and building effective social relationships.

The workshop also presented a professional self-development roadmap for students throughout their university years, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and making the most of opportunities on- and off-campus.

The event witnessed remarkable interaction from the attendees, who raised insightful questions and engaged in discussions that enriched the session and encouraged students to think positively and shape a future marked by distinction and leadership. At the conclusion of the workshop, the trainer stressed that building a strong, balanced personality is one of the key pillars of academic and professional success, praising the College’s commitment to adopting programs that prepare a conscious, capable generation ready to innovate and excel in today’s dynamic work environment.
